VERDE RETURNS AS VOICE OF THE ROADRUNNERS

The Durham Roadrunners announced today that veteran Carlos Verde will return as the play-by-play voice of Roadrunner Hockey on GMHL TV, presented by Ace's Automotive, for the 2026-27 season.

"I enjoyed getting back into junior hockey last season, and owner Tony (Iezzi) and the organization treated me first-class throughout the winter," said Verde, who previously called games in the OHL, NCAA and Europe's CHL. "There are some terrific people around the team, and we're committed to delivering the best broadcast in the league on a weekly basis."

Verde will reprise his play-by-play duties and anchor the all-new Ace's Automotive Pre- and Post-Game Shows, featuring interviews and analysis from around the league; producer Jason Hannah will also return, ensuring continuity in the all-new media gondola at Canlan Oshawa.

Further details regarding the 2026-27 Durham Roadrunners season will be announced in the coming weeks; the team's front office is hard at work preparing for the GMHL Draft on Wednesday, May 20th.
