RODRIGUEZ JOINS ROADRUNNERS FRONT OFFICE

OSHAWA — The Durham Roadrunners are pleased to announce that Grace Rodriguez has joined the organization as Team Manager ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Rodriguez, 27, brings over a decade of experience to the organization and a strong background in administration, recruiting and hockey operations.

"Joining the Roadrunners felt like the right fit from the start," said Rodriguez, a resident of Whitby. "I'm looking forward to being part of an organization that's committed to doing things the right way."

The Whitby, Ont. resident served as Director of Hockey Operations with the Bradford Bulls last season.

"Experience brings perspective, and over the last 13 years I've had the opportunity to learn from great coaches, staff and organizations throughout the league," continued Rodriguez. "I'm looking forward to bringing that knowledge to Durham, supporting our players and staff, and helping build an environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed."

Rodriguez is the latest landmark hire for the Roadrunners, who brought established head coach Joe Cathcart onboard earlier this summer and will return former OHL play-by-play voice Carlos Verde in the fall on their GMHL TV broadcasts.

"We believe in hiring talented people, and Grace has proven to be more than capable in several areas that are key to running a successful organization," said Roadrunners owner Tony Iezzi. "As a club, Durham is investing in its staff — our head coach, our broadcast, our off-ice operations — and trending in the right direction."

Rodriguez assumed duties earlier this summer, and is hard at work preparing for the 2026-27 Roadrunners season.
