Roadrunners Blueliner Turns Pro

OSHAWA — Durham Roadrunners alumnus Marquise Brown has signed a

professional contract with the Binghamton Black Bears of the Federal Prospects Hockey League.

Brown, a 2004-born defenceman, joined the Roadrunners midway through last season and registered more than a point per game as Durham charged to the South Final.

"Marquise came to us through another veteran on our roster, and made an immediate impact," said Roadrunners general manager Tony Iezzi. "We're thrilled he's getting an opportunity to show what he can do in the professional ranks, and know he will excel with Binghamton."
