Braeden Derks and Kyle Smith have been added to the Training Camp Roster of the OHL Oshawa Generals
Durham Roadrunners' goaltender Braeden Derks (2005) and forward Kyle Smith (2003) have been added to the Training Camp Roster of the OHL's Oshawa Generals.
The 17 year old goaltender Braeden Derks started in 15 games, posting a 12-3-0 record with a 2.64GAA during the regular season. Derks forwent his U18 seasons and made the decision to come to Junior A after finishing with the Oshawa Generals U16 AAA club.
Two-way centerrman Kyle Smith played a crucial role on the Roadrunner's Russell Cup Finals apperance this past season. In his first season at the Junior 'A' level, Smith posted 49 points (26g, 23a) in 33 games, catching the eye of the OHL club. Kyle is the son of former NHL player Derrick Smith.
The Durham Roadrunners were crowned South Division champions this past season and fell in the Finals of te Russell Cup Finals to the Temiscaming Titans.
